Christmas is only a couple of weeks away and we look forward to spending time with our families and friends. For some people that is not a reality.
Hope 4u city is our homeless outreach. Our team has been going into Liverpool City Centre for about 5 years providing food and hot drinks to the homeless people/Big Issue sellers in the City.
Over the past year we have started to have the chance to pray with the homeless people we have met. Sometimes they pray for us. That is very humbling. We had a chance to provide Bibles to a few people.
With the weather getting worse we have been giving the people we meet clothes too. When you meet these people each week the bad weather makes you pray and think about the people who are living on the streets.
On a Saturday we meet at Gladstones cafe in Slater Street. (Thank you to them for looking after our trollies and flasks and letting us fill the flasks with their water) We start at the top of Bold Street about 10:30am. We work our way down Bold Street, along Church Street then go to Williamson Square and go up to the precinct then back down the side of M and S. We meet the regular Big issue sellers each week on their specks. If we see any other homeless people in need along away we will stop and feed them.
We are looking to work with other organisations within the city to help the homeless. Please continue to pray for the work. Walls are being broken down and lives are being changed. We are just doing the Lords will and we see it as a privilege to going into Liverpool on a Saturday. We pray that one day we will be reach other areas of Merseyside.
If anyone has any spare clothing or especially sleeping bags we would gratefully receive them. The other week one man who was living rough was given a new jumper. His face lit up. We were blessed by this.
Keep an eye out for us on a Saturday in town.
Thank you for all of your prayers. All glory to God.

1 John 3 17 If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? 18 Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.
