Hope 4 U City @ Northfield by Bob Burton

The work of hope 4 U City has had much to thank God for over the past year.

As a group we have been able to meet and minister to a number of new Big

Issue vendors, as well as maintaining continual contact with vendors who we

have previously visited and established relationships with. This includes both

English and Non-English speaking vendors.

Whilst our primary focus has been visiting Big-Issue vendors operating in the city

centre, we have also been able to make contact with individuals who don’t sell

the Big Issue, but are sleeping rough on the streets. This has given us the

opportunity to form relationships with these people, and provide them with food,

drink and clothing.

God has also blessed us with growth within our team, with more people

volunteering to be involved on a Saturday morning.

Through this God has enabled us to build relationships with the people we meet,

in addition to providing sandwiches and hot drinks.

Our hope and prayer for the next 12 months is that we can continue to find ways

to share Jesus with the people we meet on a Saturday morning, and for them

ultimately to come to know Him as their Lord and Saviour.

We appreciate the support and prayers of our church community and ask that

you keep praying for this work as we seek God’s will and continue on the journey

that He has set out for us.
