CAP
Christians against poverty is a national debt counselling charity with a network of 102 centres based in local churches. CAP offers hope and a solution to anyone in debt through its unique, in-depth service.
You may have heard mention from time to time about the need for CAP Centre to help our community with debt related issues. Last month this journey took a very important step. Eight people from Northfield, St John and St James and the Well attended a CAP Money training course which enables people now to start providing financial guidance. Brian Cole, Allan Henderson and Joyce Salisbury are our very own CAP Money people. They are meeting on Thurs 1st October to decide when and where they will be running the courses. More information to follow. Please pray for them as they start these first few “tentative” steps.
The future aim will be to open a CAP centre in the Bootle area. There are monthly meetings with St John and St James and the Well. These are obviously to pray about the future involvement in the community but also explore the ways in which a CAP centre in Bootle can be set up.
Please pray for wisdom and also for the finance that is needed to run such a centre.
